Join Arts Outburst in our Make Some Noise Programme as we start our journey with the National Theatre, London for 2025’s Connections Festival. Be a part of the group and bring to life a brand new play written by talented Essex playwright, Vickie Donoghue.

The space will be open from 6:30pm to get registered and allow you to do some reading of the script and some prep to get in the zone.

What to expect for the audition:

The audition will consist of some script reading, you do not need to prep any material – just yourself!
Be prepared to meet the team 1:1 and/or in groups.

If reading on the spot isn’t your thing and you would like access to the script before audition day to have a read and get your head around the piece. This is totally fine!

Due to the fact that we are in a public building that is working one, to limit traffic jams we are asking that you wait downstairs on the ground floor if you are waiting for your young person.
Seating is available there to wait if needs be.

THE PLOT:
Students from a Pupil Referral group are made to go orienteering in what they discover is England’s most haunted woods. Stalked by eery ghost children determined to keep them there forever, they must learn to confront the here and now to unlock the key to their futures.

“Describe FRESH AIR”:
Eery feeling – Horror, but spooky not gory – A little creepy – Set mainly in modern day – Relatable to young people – Funny moments because of the characters – Set in two timezones – Loosely based on true events.
