Youth Worker (Apprentice)

Position: Youth Worker (Apprentice)
Location: Arts Outburst, Grays, Essex
Duration: 18 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: NMW/NLW for Apprentices

The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our team as a Youth Worker Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience in youth work, while making a real impact on the lives of young people. You will support the delivery of creative activities, mentorship, and outreach programs, and work closely with the young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of participatory-based workshops, events, and activities.
  • Support young people in developing their confidence, creativity, and communication skills.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support, acting as a positive role model.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all young participants.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project development.
  • Complete required training and work towards a Youth Work qualification.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone who is passionate about working with young people, eager to learn and ready to contribute to our team. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a genuine interest in youth work.
  • Be enthusiastic, approachable, and able to build rapport with young people.
  • Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be proactive, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

No previous experience is required, but a desire to make a difference is essential. You will receive on-the-job training and support, with the opportunity to gain a qualification in Youth Work as part of your apprenticeship.
